The draft Regulation of the Minister for Infrastructure on the technical conditions to be met by hydraulic engineering structures and their location
The draft Regulation on the technical conditions to be met by hydraulic engineering structures and their location concerns the method of design, construction and reconstruction of hydraulic engineering structures. Hydraulic engineering structures include structures with related equipment and technical installations intended for water management and the formation and use of water resources, including for example: earthen and concrete dams, weirs, drainage structures with overflows and drains, navigation sluices, flood barriers, flood gates, hydroelectric power stations and plants, water reservoirs, pumping stations, canals, cofferdams, above-surface reservoirs collecting liquid and semiliquid substances, ports, piers, ramps, lifts and breakwaters on inland waters, fish passes.
The draft of the aforementioned Regulation sets out the general technical conditions for hydraulic engineering structures, as well as the conditions for the location and environmental impact of these structures. The draft includes the division of hydraulic engineering structures (permanent and temporary structures). The draft contains regulations on the scope of assessment of the stability of hydraulic engineering structures and regulations on the determination of calculated water levels and flood flows. The draft also includes regulations on the safe erection of hydraulic engineering structures above water levels, the passage of water through hydraulic engineering structures and hydraulic engineering structure equipment.
