Greece Studies for the drainage of rainwater and hydraulic transport works
Approval of the new Regulation on the preparation, contents and estimated fees of studies for the drainage of rainwater and hydraulic transport works, with mandatory application to all public works and studies.
The scope of this category of studies is to lay down rainwater runoff discharges for the design and control of the relevant works. It involves the investigation of meteorological conditions and surface runoff, without addressing hydrogeological issues. The Hydrology Study identifies flood discharges from all types of catchment areas, which are used in the calculation of flood protection works and hydraulic systems for rainwater and drainage.
The hydrology study referred to in this Regulation pertains to flood hydrology, excluding the determination of the probable maximum flood (or flood with an extremely high return period).
The hydrology study pertains to the following studies:
1. Flood Protection Works - Anti-erosion Works
2. Delineations
3. Internal network works (rainwater drainage)
4. Rainwater drainage along the longitudinal zone of a transport work
5. Drainage of external basins of a transport work
The above scope is also associated with Hydrological Packages 1, 2, 5 and 7 as referred to in the Ministerial Decision under Article 196(2) of Law 4412/2016 "on the specification of deliverables by stage and by study category."
