Draft Act on the Conditions of Sale of Energy Drinks

The main objective of the draft Act is to create a legal framework for regulating the sale of energy drinks, as follows:

• prohibit the sale of energy drinks to persons under the age of 16, ensure that energy drinks are not available to minors through vending machines or distance selling;
• raise public awareness of the negative effects of excessive consumption of energy drinks;
• ensure effective oversight and sanctions for breaches of sales rules.
