Draft regulation regarding amendments to the regulation on water supply and drinking water (introducing a limit value for the Sum of 4 PFAS of 0,004 μg/l)

The Norwegian authorities proposes amendments to the Norwegian regulation of 22. December 2022 No 1868 on

water supply and drinking water introducing a new limit value for the Sum of 4 PFAS of 4 ng/l. According to the proposal
the owners of water supply systems shall be obligated to analyse for the Sum of 4 PFAS only if the hazard identification
shows that there is a risk of the limit value being exceeded. The amendments shall enter into force the 1st of January
2026.
