Regulation No. 65 indicated in the title, together with the Metrology Act, governs the area of metrological control of measuring instruments in Estonia. The regulation lays the down areas of application for types of measuring instruments, where the use of metrologically controlled instruments is mandatory.

The draft extends the verification validity periods for electromagnetic and ultrasonic water meters to 10 years. The applicable verification validity period is 5 years.
